Punch-a-Bunch (played for up to $800K): Thad ($1,177) escapes the FFBC and wins $50K from 2 of 4 punches for a technical perfect second half much to Verna’s dismay (golden-road.net and tpirepguide both labeled this as a win) (GT: $51,488)

Note: In this playing, there are five cards with $25K, and 10 cards with $10K, $5K, $2,500, and $1K, plus five cards that say “double”. If “double” is picked, the player punches again and wins double the amount. If Thad picked a $25K card then punched all five doubles, he would’ve gotten the maximum amount of $800K; the odds of this happening are 1 in 19,068,840.

SCSD #2 Winner: Chance

Showcase Winner: Chance ($113,490) (low showcase)

Games won: 5 of 6 — Final Total: $492,041! (RECORD FOR TPiR @ NIGHT & HIGHEST SINCE 2008 MDS)

My Rating: 9 (A)

Ant0824’s Rating: 9

Verna, you were so close.

With that, this show damages the winnings of LMaD, J! and WoF, although I believe that it’s merely just a coincidence.

  1. This was a tough show for Bobby to rate and even assess, but here goes…

We had a mostly spectacular Main Game, with Act I yielding our second Temptation win in a row this week (for an $80K+ car), breaking today’s car jinx, followed by a huge Grocery Game get for $200K. Act II completed the car game sweep with a difficult set up in Range Game, followed by our biggest game of the night (if not our entire season at Haven Studios)…Punch A Bunch, for $800K. A chance at it was actually lost by Thad on the first pick. He wisely chose to stop, but because of his mistake on the first pick Thad is nominee for ZONK CONTESTANT/GOOSE EGG PLAYER OF THE WEEK. It seemed we were gonna get a big win for Temptation winner Mark for the biggest High SC of the week. Sadly, it was lost to the Low Tripcase…the End Game marred a great AN finale. Reflecting the outcome of Punch and the Low SC, sorry JL, but taking everything into account from this show, Bobby says…

Bobby’s Rating – Statistical 50/50 Split (which means tomorrow will settle our week in Price City). Sorry, JL, the end of Act II and the SC dented my rating BIG TIME. Anyone want to challenge my rating, Christopher Morris and Ismael?

Final day results follow our night on FOX next.

  2. OMG, another good episode and including someone breaking Temptation in the nighttime show (after daytime did in Monday). Now we know why the sister game shows had hurt their winnings.

RATING: 9 😀 (a 10 if the show is PG)

    1. Christopher, when you consider how much was left on the table in Punch A Bunch, we’re talking $749K unclaimed, your rating is justified. By the way, Bobby would have rated Punch A Bunch a loss as the first pick soured Thad’s chances at the $800K, which surely would have been the biggest prize of the week, if not the season here. Of course, you have to compare it with the $13M lost last week in DEAL OR NO DEAL ISLAND, too….that show was even worse than what we ended up with tonight, so in a way, Thad is off the hook as the season’s worst loser. Whatever…$749K is still a lot to lose.

  3. ELSEWHERE TONIGHTAshanti Harris bails out for $60K on I CAN SEE YOUR VOICE, and Jareb is our latest $100K winner this week on the season premiere of DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS.

Let’s sort out this mess of a night where we did have few big winners…

FINAL COUNT – 2 cars (both in AN), 1 F! (with the ongoing J! champ), 7 trips (incl. both Low SCs), the Vault Out in the MD, and a total of $411K+ in cash.

BLOOD COUNT – 7 cars (incl. the BD and both High SCs, way more lost than won), the DD 3xS, 2 F!s, 2 trips, and…drum roll please…$749K left on the table on AN.

Stats show we had no Major Winning Shows today, but LMADdaytime TPIR, and WOF lost, while J! and TPIR AN went split.

For better or worse, TONIGHT’S BIG WINNER is Chance Frey (TPIR AN) at $113,490 (incl. the Low SC).

We are almost certain COTW/POTW and ZCOTW/GEPOTW have been settled for Week 38.  All we need now is for the fat lady to sing on tomorrow night’s WOF. Join us tomorrow morning for the conclusion of Week 38!

      1. But if he wins the showcase instead of Chance, he would have become the biggest non-millionaire in Primetime TPiR (but that reminds us, we hope TPiR will also offer home prizes like the Margaritaville in WoF)

  4. Well, looks like both Christopher and me have been outvoted by the Majority for the second time today, so, sorry to say, I rule this…

MAJORITY DISAGREEMENT #2 today. Sorry about that. Unless Ismael has an opinion…

  5. As we begin Friday, I would like to make a correction from yesterday. I would like to tip my hat BIG TIME to ant0824, who indeed correctly pointed out that Mark Westergard (TPIR AN) was the actual Top Winner on Thursday with $204,905 C & P, thanks to Grocery Game. Thank you ant…sorry for this oversight. He will be acknowledged tonight in our HONORABLE MENTIONS.

I will mention this again and more when we get to Friday’s LMAD results.

    ant0824, I owe you a Car Dilemma!
