OBIT: Jerry Springer

Jerry Springer, the host of The Jerry Springer Show, Judge Jerry, and the GSN dating show Baggage, as well as a former host of America’s Got Talent, has passed away today from pancreatic cancer at the age of 79.

May he rest in peace.

OBITS: Barry Humphries and Harry Belafonte

Barry Humphries, the Australian comedian best known for creating and playing drag character Dame Edna Everage, passed away this past Saturday at the age of 89 following complications of hip surgery. He was also the voice of Bruce the shark in “Finding Nemo” and his quote “FISH ARE FRIENDS, NOT FOOD” was mentioned as the Round 2 puzzle on December 11, 2013.

Also, we’ve learned news today that Harry Belafonte, singer and activist best known for the song “The Banana Boat Song (Day-O)”, died of congestive heart failure at the age of 96. His name was mentioned as a puzzle on January 14, 2005 (CALYPSO SINGER HARRY BELAFONTE).

On April 1, Jeopardy will re-air our eleventh and final DD skunking of last season. I also forgot to mention that they already re-aired Megan becoming the lowest 5-day champ after winning just $401 which is also the lowest winning score of last season this past weekend.
