WoF Quickcap: 4/26/2024

These end-of-week panelists from left to right could see a BEAUTIFUL SAILBOAT if they win a trip…

Ellie Jung: Rice University student studying cognitive science and art whose family is super competitive (both her parents have been on game shows but not this one) from Houston, TX

Kate Metz: kindergarten teacher at Pinecrest Sloan Canyon married to her “sometimes wonderful, sometimes okay” husband (the hubby got her started watching the show and has applied every year while she applied once and finally made it) from Las Vegas, NV

Travis Graham: runner who also wanted to be a power lifter from Richmond, VA

FINAL SCORES
Ellie
: $7,150 | Kate: $16,500 | Travis: $14,010 cash & Antigua

GRAND TOTAL: $37,660
SEASON-WORST BANKRUPT TRASH (excluding WC): $36,250

Scary moments

-In Round 1 after Kate fills in this much (she landed on $2,500 on all three consonant calls)…

T I _ _ E T S
T O U R S
T R A I _ S / &
T R A _ S

She keeps on going… AND SHE PAINFULLY BANKRUPTS NEAR $2,500 TO FLUSH AWAY $29,750!!! Unbelievable. Just unbelievable. -___- And that’s the fourth largest amount lost to BANKRUPT in a single spin in show history. We got a house minimum solve as a result of that horrible moment after Travis SPINGLED.

-Chock-full of penalties in the next two rounds including a T repeat by Ellie on the MDW.

-In the Speed-Up after Kate starts with 4 T’s, she gives a THROWAWAY GUESS of TIGHT END TIGHTNESS, although she surprisingly managed to pull of a $10,500 comeback win when control returned to her.

I have ZERO hope in this segment after this dreadful game: THING/PEOPLE/LIVING THING

Pat just knew Kate would pick that.

$100K Bonus Round: Kate has this amount get tangled up in the HONEYSUCKLE

…BOY, DID HER EPIC BANKRUPT REALLY SET THE TONE FOR A HORRIFIC NIGHT- SHE’S THE EIGHTH $100K LOSER THIS SEASON (definitely Zonk Contestant of the Week). FURTHERMORE, THAT’S THE THIRD STRAIGHT WEEK TO HAVE SUCH A LOSS. My goodness. -___-

My Rating: 1 (F-) (I could’ve brought it up due to Kate winning in her own merits, but that big loss negated it)

Ismael’s Rating: 1 (F-)

Ant0824’s Rating: 1

TOO BAD! (Ay Que Mala Suerte Que Perdio)Stamp of Rejection v2

Sure threw an otherwise decent week down the toilet. SMH. -___-

  1. Time for Pat & Vanna to order those 🍩’s again!! I don’t know what’s worse; that BIG bankrupt in R1 or the $1🍩🍩K l🍩ss to end.

    R: 1

T🍩🍩 BAD!!! Maybe it was just as well my local abc station (abc 33/40 (WBMA-LD)) pre-empted tonight’s show due to the NFL Draft.

  2. We wrap up Week 34 of our Game Show Week on a horrible L🍩sing note…possibly one of the worst shows of this season. Bad night for Kate…she bankrupts out of $29,750 in the Main Game, then ends up the latest loser of $100K. Way to go, Kate! So what kind of donuts do you want from Thornton?

Bobby’s Rating It doesn’t deserve sh— (do you agree with me, Christopher. Norris?) One thing is for certain…this is a Losing Week, and that means Kate is statistically and automatically our ZONK CONTESTANT OF THE WEEK. It also means TPIR and J! are this week’s Major Winning Shows in Week 34.

    As for today…

FINAL COUNT TODAY – 2 cars (incl. the High SC), 3 DDs, 2 F!s, the ongoing J! champ, and 4 trips (incl. the MD).

BLOOD COUNT TODAY – 2 cars (even Steven in our cars), 2 trips (incl. the Low SC), the everything-but-the-car BD, 1 F!, and the $100K.

Statistically this show and LMAD lost, while TPIR and J! won.

That means Alex Harrell (from earlier this week on WOF) is statistically CONTESTANT OF THE WEEK with $67,105 cash & trips. The final analysis may have already been clear between both major game show sites. Join us shortly on Bobby’s site for Part I of our Week 34 assessment, followed late night tonight/early Saturday for GSQ’s choices.

  3. You have GOT TO BE KIDDING ME.

First (per Ismael, probably not Zonk Contestants of the Week) Michael McDowell and Brad Keselowski (Front Row Racing and Roush-Fenway-Keselowski Racing, both Fords) CRASHING on the last lap at Talladega in the Cup Series on Sunday (the former intentionally blowing the win by putting up a bad block, resulting in “The Big One”, basically multiple cars crashing, handing 23XI Racing (Toyota)’s Tyler Reddick his first career win at the track in the process), then Josef Newgarden and Scott McLaughlin being DISQUALIFIED for a SERIOUS Push-to-Pass infraction at St. Petersburg in IndyCar (the season opener) — and the infraction wasn’t discovered until the Streets of Long Beach race — ROUGHLY A MONTH LATER, costing Team Penske (Chevrolet chassis in this series) a total of $75,000 in fines, Hunter being sent to the jury on Survivor Wednesday night WITH A HIDDEN IMMUNITY IDOL STILL IN HIS POCKET and now THIS?!

The villainous 13-year-old inside of me (I’m 38 now) is probably having a field day right now, assigning all these losers — including the latest $100K loser — “detention”, which would feel like a scene from a borderline PG-13/R-rated violent or horror movie. BUT I’M NOT GOING TO LET HIM DO THAT. I CAN’T ALLOW THIS TO HAPPEN.

(Personally, 38-year-old me would immediately throw that drivel written by 13-year-old me and throw it in the shredder, honestly, and then teach him a hard lesson that this type of behavior and thinking is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE and WRONG ON SO MANY LEVELS. And then I’d call the 13-year-old’s behavior (sorry, Mom) trifling.)

Anyways…OH, COME ON! This is Pat’s final season, and the $100K losses are piling up?! We have got to do better than this. There should be at least a $1M winner this season to send Pat and his era riding off into the sunset before Ryan’s era begins in five months.

My rating (sorry, deepscan): ABSOLUTE ZERO (I was one of those affected by the NFL Draft) — I don’t ever want to see another throwaway episode like THIS again.

    1. For the record, players in sports such as NASCAR, NFL, etc. are outside the scope of this forum, so they would fall under the category of REALITY COMPETITIONS. But I hope we will note them as such in Bobby’s summary, being prepared now.

  4. This episode was *expletives deleted*, but please do not let anyone rage quit again unlike the February 8, 2023 episode which resulted in Skipps quitting.
