  1. Well, Ismael, it was great that you had the two WOF BR winners share the title. Like I said, choosing Low Player was tough since there was not a clear cut loser in Week 40, but one can’t help but feel sorry for those who fell short on FOX this final week. So I will say for once this season, “thanks, Ismael”. 🤑😀

AND NOW, THE REST OF THE 20232024 GAME SHOW SEASON:

REGULAR GAME SHOWS – On NAME THAT TUNE, Celebrity Karamo Brown raised $22K for the Talented Twelve in Act I, while regular player Valerie won $92K in Act II; Christine banked $51K on THE WEAKEST LINK; the team of Sarah & Andy were unable to BEAT SHAZAMthe Byrases end up with $47K after failing the Bonus Round in THE QUIZ WITH BALLS; and on PASSWORD, Doug Cupid busted in Act I, while Sykes banked $16K in Act II.

REALITY COMPETITIONS (other than AMERICA’S GOT TALENT) – Jay was booted off of THE CHALLENGE ALL-STARS.

COOKING SHOWS – German was the next to be eliminated from SUMMER BAKING CHAMPIONSHIPSam Cruz was this week’s CHOPPED champion; Manny was kicked out of TOP CHEF; and Kamal got the boot from GORDON RAMSEY’S FOOD STARS.

HONORABLE MENTIONS – Week 40’s other $100K+ winner came on Thursday when Taylor Frame won the season finale of I CAN SEE YOUR VOICE, while Yasmin Sophia Carden stopped at $75K on DON’T FORGET THE LYRICS.   Meanwhile, Patrice Massey ended up winning a Double Showcase winner on Friday’s TPIR.

DISHONORABLE MENTIONS – Aside from those who lost on the FOX shows, all BD and car losers from LMAD fit here, as is Lynn Williams for losing TPIR’s biggest Showcase of the week on Thursday, for $39,597 (incl. a trip and car).

CONTESTANT OF THE SEASON – Mai Whelan from this past season’s SQUID GAME: THE CHALLENGE, emerged as this season’s big winner with $4.56M, the highest winnings of any player this Game Show Season.  For the record, Whelan had to wait until the show finally aired on NetFlix in January to get her prize, as the finale was actually shot 11 months earlier, in February of 2023.

ZONK CONTESTANT OF THE SEASON – A very huge loss indeed, $13.857M to be precise.  Jordan Fowler had $1.23M with her case in the May season finale of DEAL OR NO DEAL ISLAND.  But it is what she did not win that made her the season’s statistical worst player.  The Top Final Case was worth $13.857M.  Had Jordan picked and won it, not only would she had been the PLAYER OF THE SEASON, but of all time, for she would have overtaken current J! host Ken Jennings as the biggest Game Show/Reality Competiton Winner in the history of American Television.  A big Ay Que Mala Suerte Que Perdio on you.

FINAL COUNT THIS WEEK – 7 cars, 7 DDs, 8 F!s (with 1 3xG), 4 MDs (incl. a Vault Out), 1 SD, 19 trips, 4 High and 2 Low SCs (incl. the DSW), and $458K+ cash.

BLOOD COUNT THIS WEEK – 13 cars (more lost than won), 8 DDs, 7 F!s (with the 3xS), all 4 BDs, 4 trips, 4 Low and 2 High SCs, and $120K+ cash (not incl. what was left on the table on our FOX shows).

And we also had no Griffin Cardinal Sinners this week!

OVERALL RATING THIS WEEK – 16 of 20 (Primetime) + 3.75 of 10 (Daytime) = 19.75 of 30 (Overall Losing Week, with TPIR our only Major Winning Show this week, while LMAD & WOF lost, and J! going 50/50 Split).

OVERALL RATING THIS SEASON – 17 of 20 (Primetime) + 2.5 of 10 (Daytime) = 19.5 of 30 (Overall Losing Season, with J! our only Major Winning Show this season, the other three Majors lost).

Ladies and gentlemen, that concludes the 2023-2024 Game Show Season.  LMADTPIR, and J! will continue to burn off their episodes during the off season while our Spring/Summer shows (especially AGT and our other Primetime shows) will press on with their continued competitions.  New seasons of THE WALL and BIG BROTHER will begin very shortly.  My colleagues will continue to shepherd GSQ and Bobby’s site for the next 13 weeks of the off-season with key updates and news from the Game Show World.

I would like to take this opportunity to thank those people who make these sites possible…JL, Christopher, ant0824, Friendship Feed, and yes, Ismael too.  Yes, Is, our differences will continue from time to time, but for better or worse your input is essential to the Game Show Community.  Also thanks to Pat Sajak for an incredible run on WOF these past 4 1/2 decades.  And last, but not least, to all of you Game Show fans from around the world, for your input and assessments.  If I left anyone out, believe me, it was not intentional.

It has been my privilege to serve the Game Show Community once again this season, and on behalf of all those concerned, I thank you.

We will return Sunday, September 8, for the start of a brand new season of Game Show fun, followed the next day by a new era when Ryan Seacrest takes the reins of WOF.  Have a great summer, talk to you “on the other side”!
