Noora Barakat is your Contestant of the Week cleaning up nicely in the maingame portion of Friday’s WoF episode w/ $38,322 cash & prizes and earning a well-deserved and poetic justice $40K BR win giving us our second 4-1 BR week this season (not including CWoF). Back off, James and Dave.
Honorable mentions:
-Andrew Hoing enjoyed a similar outing on the show Tuesday going into the BR w/ $31,050 cash & St. Croix and then winning a maZDa CX-9 Grand Touring worth $46,945 for a final total of $77,995 cash & prizes!
-The hilarious Jamie McMahon Carrillo salvages a messy Thursday Wheel episode by being the show’s other maZDa CX-9 winner this week (and twerking on Pat — LOL! 🤣).
-Socheata Vang redeemed in a big way from her bust in Money Game by winning $26K from the Big Wheel and then the showcase for a final total of $76,323 cash & prizes! A bigger redemption than anything that took place on the primetime version of the show later that night.
-Melissa Peterman swept this week among celebrities vs. Cedric Yarbrough of 25 Words or Less.
-Ray Lalonde ended his 13-day $386,400 run on J! Tuesday w/ his name on the 2023-24 Tournament of Champions roster.
-Jeremiah Meador beat the odds by guessing the correct price of the Nissan Sentra SR w/ just two attempts and then won the showcase being only $535 off the ARP w/ a final total of $61,498 in prizes.
-Kat Turner became the latest CHOPPED champion.
David Bise from Jamie’s Wheel episode is your Zonk Contestant of the Week, and you’re NOT gonna believe why…

HE CRASHED VIOLENTLY HARD ON EXPRESS SAYING THE ADJECTIVE FORM (INCREDIBLE and not INCREDIBLY) OF THE FIRST WORD NOT COUNTING HIS E’s CAREFULLY WHEN ATTEMPTING TO SOLVE DESPITE NOT YET RUNNING OUT OF CONSONANTS, and he threw away $11,850 plus the expensive $11,190 Barbados trip w/ that EPIC FAIL (and he looked very shocked and confused when he found out about his error) — UNBELIEVABLE! UNFREAKINGBELIEVABLE!! We got a $0 prize puzzle win as a result, and that, of course, cost him the game BIG TIME. Oh, and by the way, that big fail has also been named as Zonk Answer of the Week.
Dishonorable mentions:
-Margaret Chu and Marissa Katz triggered OUR FOURTH DOUBLE OVER THIS SEASON, and neither of those ladies were even remotely close to being correct w/ those bids, and Drew knew it right away that they were over based on the tone of his voice and how quickly he read off the ARPs of the showcases.
-Marissa Novak blew an easy $45K BR puzzle which cost us a PBRW for Wheel.
-Terrible start to Friday’s J! episode in which Andy Saunders compared it to a Season 1 episode.
-Lackluster return of Celeb J! to kick off the third & final batch of quarterfinals games riddled w/ triple stumpers (including in FJ!) although the volume of incorrect responses wasn’t too severe.
-Victoria’s controversial trade of an Australian trip in hopes of going for the Big Deal triggered OUR 15TH BD KNOCKOUT THIS SEASON ALREADY. She said she made that trade because her daughter (who was in the audience dressed like a cheerleader) “had things to do”. I’m not sure if that clicks right with me, but if I had to guess, she did it for college or something. Not sure. Something didn’t seem right. Oh, and it that wasn’t bad enough, WE WERE SKUNKED ON CAR GAMES YET AGAIN THIS WEEK and yet ANOTHER BRUTAL PLAYING of Accelerator (but $500 was won).
-Melissa Peterman’s sweep triggered BACK-TO-BACK RETURNING CHAMPION SKUNKINGS. Though it was somewhat deserving on the outgoing civilian champs’ part due to their poor performances in the maingames most of the week (particularly R2 of Tuesday’s episode).
-Janelle James pulled a Yvette Nicole Brown blowing an easy BR in Game 1 of this week’s Celeb WoF episode (and also dropped the F-bomb) helping continue the show’s ridiculous BR losing streak.
-Too many baffling misplays on Monday’s WoF episode.
-Not much redemption in the TPiR At Night Redemption Special.
