Contestant of the Week for October 31-November 4, 2022

This is going to be a tough one for me… WWE Superstar Austin Creed a.k.a. Xavier Woods is your Contestant of the Week due to his dominant Game 2 performance in Sunday’s Celeb Wheel episode scoring $68,350 in this half alone, even though he got SKUNKED across both of his BRs (potential $120K out the window) when the second one should’ve been solved, period. Still, he totaled $96,350 all across for his charity.

Honorable mentions:

-Lamont Ross and Stephanie Peterson had a heck of a match on Wednesday’s episode of Wheel w/ the latter winning the Mercedes-Benz GLB250 worth $45,140, giving her a final total of $70,990 cash & prizes despite that the PP mattered for her to win!

-Owen Panno redeemed from his last second WHAMMY via passed spin on the official series premiere of the 2019 “Press Your Luck” ABC reboot and ugly first half of his episode of Wheel this Thursday due to two penalty spins and a critical dud to a comeback win and a BR win to complete that comeback.

-Jay Shaio won a Mitsubishi Outlander from Squeeze Play and snapped the low SC streak winning his showcase out w/ a total of $68,328 in prizes.

-Daphne Tenne won everything incl. car in her playing of Master Key.

-This week of quarterfinals in the 2022 Jeopardy! Tournament of Champions started slow and gradually got better ending w/ a competitive match (ending the Curse of Friday for FJ! for now). And there is still one quarterfinals game left next Monday.

-On-target BD win averted a flameout on Wednesday (& also prevented a potential BD skunk).

Elias & Chris, movie buff buddies from Wednesday’s episode of 25 Words or Less, are your Zonk Contestants of the Week because they were SKUNKED and didn’t score a single point in the game.

Dishonorable mentions:

-Austin Creed blowing the second easy MDBR triggering a SKUNKING for this Sunday’s edition of Celebrity Wheel.

-Kiara Armstrong met the unfortunate fate of having to play the infamous Gas Money and of course lost which cost us yet another perfect PG show, though she redeemed in the showcase w/ a not-so-hot total in prizes.

-Family Feud is in the middle of a record-breaking car win drought.

-Back-to-back total car skunks on LMaD including a brutal playing of the infamous Accelerator.

-When being asked to guess whether the $6,735 behind the curtain in a deal on Friday’s LMaD episode was an entertainment suite, a trip or cash, Timothy foolishly thought that would be cash…and of course it was an entertainment suite.

-Tuesday’s episode of 25 Words or Less was a TOTAL BOMBOUT w/ not one round cleared and only a lousy three correct words in the Money Round.

-Lackluster Monday J! episode w/ low Coryat, high Lach trash, so much lost to incorrect responses and low combined pre-FJ! score, but that can be blamed on the increased difficulty of the ToC clues before contestants caught rhythm in subsequent episodes.

-We know historic novel locales can be difficult to locate, but none of the contestants on Thursday’s quarterfinals were close to the right time period w/ their responses.

-This week of Wheel was a substantial improvement over the last few, but still quite a few downers.
