WoF Quickcap: 10/20/2022

WOF_40

Yet another two-man panel
Eddie Jones, a pastor of a local church and former 7th-grade English/12th-grade British literature teacher for 25 yrs. married to “the finest woman from Chattanooga,” Teresa, w/ a drummer son and competitive cheerleader daughter (both teenagers) from Memphis, TN
Jacob Borcover, a L.A. sports fan (Dodgers, Rams, Lakers) who enjoys watching car chases (but doesn’t participate in them) who has a Sheepadoodle puppy named Mookie (an homage to Dodgers outfielder Mookie Betts) from L.A.
Tatum Mayers, a married lady to Jack with a toddler son and daughter who enjoys hot yoga and surfing (although she’s not great at the latter, and she doesn’t watch many car chases) from Huntington Beach (prev. lived in Oahu for six years)

Final Scores: Jacob$17,200 cash & St. Maarten/Tatum: $10,450 MDW/Eddie: $3K

$1.5K S-Us make me yawn. 🥱

GT: $30,650
Tonight’s Bankrupt Trash: $4K

Scary moments

-Too many duds were called throughout this episode (minus R2), and we also had a cut NULL CYCLE during S-U (that round also saw a $0 puzzle win occur).

-No, Jacob, it cannot be PAPER PLATEtwice in a row…

Generic categories: PLACES/THING/PHRASE

$100K Bonus Round: Jacob has no trouble navigating through these PUMPKIN PATCHES for $40K and does not encounter Pepé Le Pew anywhere here!

Jacob’s Final Total: $57,200 cash & St. Maarten

New GT: $70,650

Speaking of pumpkins, the hosts are sampling cherry, pumpkin, key lime, and cookie dough pies from Winston Pies in Bentwood. While Vanna can’t pick a favorite flavor because they’re all delicious, Pat enjoys a mix of all four… but then says he’s “gonna be sick” after eating all of them (uh oh 🤢). 🥧

ant0824’s Rating: TBA

Adam’s Rating: 7

Skipps’ Rating: 6 (D+) (too many duds)

My Rating: 6 (D+)

Boot to Gooseeggs and FFBC Victims

  1. At long last…a BR win to avert a possible Skunked week…Jacob really climbed up that $40K ladder, didn’t he? And the way he got through that Main Game… The opponents did do their best.

Bobby’s Rating a little better than Ismael’s – 8 of 10 (Winning Show)—but no matter what others rate this episode we will still have an Overall Losing Week.

FINAL COUNT – 1 car, 2 DDs, the 3xG in our F!s, the SD, 2 trips (incl. the Low SC), and $40K here.
BLOOD COUNT – 4 cars (incl. the BD and High SC, meaning more cars lost than won, again), and 1 DD.

Both Griffin shows were our two major winning shows today (if BobbyMgsk is taken seriously).

As always, it all comes down to Sajak’s final opening of the BR envelope here tomorrow to decide if our week of CBS shows go down the toilet, if so-far-big-loser-of-the-week Albeza really does get off the hook as GE/Z POTW, or perhaps a big $1M or $100K champion will change things…and don’t forget, we are still due for a $ Game play on Friday! All answers will be revealed tomorrow.

    Meantime, enjoy NFL!

  2. Nothing too special about this episode aside from PAPER PLATES in the Triple Toss-Ups.

Jacob might’ve needed the Prize Puzzle to win, but thankfully he didn’t need the P’s to get through these PUMPKIN PATCHES in the BR. I also got it with his letter picks, though not immediately.

My Rating: 6 (D+) (those duds were a little too much for me)
