WoF Quickcap: 10/10/2022

This week’s theme: Generic #1 (Dark set; there was no general audience this week)

First Californians coming to play
Megan Huston, a lady married to Doug for 5.5 years who visited the studio during Celebrity Week w/ her Girl Scout Troop (Richard Simmons had them do jumping jacks during commercial breaks and she was lucky enough to win the board game LL Cool J signed for her) and is also an avid runner (she aiming to do a half marathon in all 50 states) from Rialto
Nicole Letarte, a married lady to Max for over a year whose birthday is the same as Pat’s (Oct. 26) and wanted to win enough for a dream vacation to Japan so that she can taste the ramen from Anaheim
Shon Jeng, a married man to Heidi for 5 years w/ a 16-month-old child named Genesis who owns over 10K comic books from Anaheim

Final Scores: Shon: $13,650 cash & St. Croix/Megan: $8,450/Nicole: $3,600

SEASON-WORST GT: a dismal $25,700
Megan’s Bankrupt Trash: $5K + WC

Scary moments

-In R1…

A R O U N D / T H E
_ A T H T U _

Megan shockingly decides to go all the wayto learn the hard way the consequences of not knowing when to stop taking risks by BANKRUPTing near $650 to give up $4,050 and WC — Sigh. -__- We got a $0 puzzle win as a result.

-We never quite regained traction from that unnecessary BANKRUPT as we had many more penalties (mostly R2; including a dud on the MW (As usual, there will be no decision to be made)) the rest of the episode.

-The second triple toss-up was almost a TRIPLE STUMPER.

Categories to hopefully salvage this disastrous game: PERSON/F&G/THING

Now they offer a Ford Escape this week (SE Hybrid in this case).

$100K Bonus Round: Shon doesn’t show himself to be a MOTIVATED PLAYER for the Ford Escape and now he’s the new lowest-scoring winner this season.

My Rating: 3 (F) (would be a 2 w/ $40K or 1 w/ any higher amount)

ant0824’s Rating: A God-awful 3

Ismael’s Rating: 1 (F-)

Adam’s Rating: 4

Real shame. What a day we had for the other shows.

  1. Our perfect day in game shows out the window thanks to a sorry BR by Shon. Too bad.

Bobby’s Rating – 6 of 10 (Losing Show) (BTW, tjdygks57 was first with the review on Bobby’s site—-this rating solely reflects deepscan’s).

FINAL COUNT – 4 cars (incl. TPIR’s Dream Car and the High SC), 3 DDs, 2 F!s (with the ongoing champ), 3 trips (incl. the non-car BD), and $20K in cash games.
BLOOD COUNT – 4 cars (including here, so we go even Steven with our cars), and 1 F!.

This was the only major show that was not winning.

    Dream Car Week continues tomorrow.

On to NFL and THE VOICE!

  2. Ugly start to your birthday week. Thanks to Megan’s late BANKRUPT in Round 1 and Nicole solving for the house minimum right after instead of going for the remaining B pair in this mostly lackluster maingame overall and the Prize Puzzle mattering for Shon to win at the end, not only did we set a new SEASON-LOW GRAND TOTAL, but he also leaves us as the lowest winning champ of the season in just two episodes. I RSTLNE’d the BR, and the M would’ve helped big time. The only thing I found interesting about this episode was the fact that two of the contestants are from Anaheim, the home of Disneyland Park.

    My Rating: 4

P.S. I’m also thinking about adding in the number of times the Prize Puzzle mattered for someone to win for all future stats. Just for the record, 6 contestants so far this season need the PP to win and 5 went on to lose the BR. Correct me if I’m wrong.
