Tesha Chouteau from Wheel of Fortune is your Contestant of the Week, going into the BR w/ $30,400 cash & St. Maarten and then earning her keep as a PAYING GUEST on the show by becoming its first car winner (an above-BR-minimum Ford Mustang GT worth $44,915) this season.
Honorable mentions:
-Emmett Stanton (the one who unseated Luigi de Guzman and Ken referred to as his Waluigi) went on a 3-day $72,600 run on J!, having won all three of his games trailing going into FJ!. He had lost on his fourth game and departed w/ the $2K consolation on Wednesday, but what’s strange and ironic about it was that he was leading going into FJ! but lost while all of his wins came from behind.
-Tanino Privitera w/ $62,450 cash & prizes won from Wheel was deemed by fans as “the best player ever” while reacting to the NSFW R1 puzzle WARM WET & WILD.
-In the very first pricing game of the 51st season of Price Jennifer Davison NAILED IT in her playing of Grand Game w/ a fitting $51K in play (GT: $55,004).
-Markita Shahid also won big on this episode by winning two cars in Bargain Game.
-We also have Zachary McCall who redeemed in the showcase w/ $50,334.
-Halliona Bacon, the only PG winner to get a showcase win this week, was lucky to take home $43,488 in prizes (including Vancouver trip).
-Army vet Robert won the Land Rover Discovery Sport SE R-Dynamic worth $56,559 via second-chance deal on Wednesday, the only Fabulous Car given away on Fabulous Car Week this week.
-Co-workers Golsa & Samantha averted a MR skunking on 25 Words for the second straight week despite an abysmal Round 2 (Superhero of the Week).
-Ure won the Big Deal ON-TARGET INSTANTLY to start the week and season.
-Terresa Amidei racked up $38,400 cash & Cozumel before the BR despite a critical dud in R1 wiping out $12,750 cash & S.F. trip, but there was no more in the budget as she WIPED OUT in the BR.
Renee Liverpool is your Zonk Contestant of the Week missing out on $100K in $100K Pyramid.
Dishonorable mentions:
-Paul Reyes made the wrong kind of history by triggering the FIRST TOTAL TRAINWRECK PLAYING OF ONE AWAY IN THE CAREY ERA, FIRST SINCE 5/28/1990 AND THIRD EVER. Paul, I get that mark-ups have a significant impact on this current market, but just remember that it’s the ARP that we’re looking for here, and there ain’t no way a compact CUV such as the VW Taos is gonna start at $40K+ (Just like Jacqueline in the 80s-90s thought that the Lincoln Mark VII was worth less than $30K+). He did redeem and win his showcase, however, hence why I agreed w/ Deepscan’s choice of Renee for that dubious title.
-Sheri Alberg & Matthew Bugaj triggered the FIRST DOUBLE OVER THIS SEASON in only the third episode of the 51st season of TPiR.
-Almost immediately after Monday’s instant hit we had BACK-TO-BACK BD KNOCKOUTS on Wednesday and Thursday. And it’s really too bad we ended up going the week 1-4 after that (all of the losses were the Small Deal). Don’t forget that Tuesday’s loss also triggered a FLAMEOUT via PD-trade-down, and a Cash Register TOTAL TRAINWRECK to go along w/ it.
-As I said before, only one Fabulous Car (out of six incl. a second chance deal) was given away this week.
-A partial in Time is Money ended up costing us a perfect PG show on Thursday.
-Week 2 of Jeopardy! was a somewhat considerable downgrade over Week 1 — Dismal Monday show which included Ken Jennings finding himself IN TROUBLE w/ the media again for deeming Emmett Stanton’s FJ! response correct despite it being illegible which game him the win after the others were incorrect, an unlucky $14,600 from 13 triple stumpers on Tuesday more than doubling the weekly total vs. last week, first FJ! bust-out this season on Wednesday as well as our first O&D’er this season and an awful Double J! round on Friday.
-We may have rolled through this week of Wheel 3-0 for another BR week in the W column, but this week was full of gameplay-related problems in the maingames and we sadly finished out from 3-0 to 3-2 from bad letter combos (the latter being a WIPEOUT and both seeing the Ford Mustang GT get lost). Oh, and guess what? The evil FUZZY claims another victim.
